Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep one self from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27
• What is the Nursing Home Ministry?
The Nursing Home Ministry is a group of people who meet every third Saturday of the month, 10:30-11:15 at Villa Springs to share the love of Jesus in the format of a church service. We sing old hymns. We share the word of God and testimonies and pray with those who want prayer. We always intend to be a blessing to them, but leave feeling as though we are the ones who have been blessed.
• At Which Nursing Home Do We Minister?
We minister at the Villa Spring Health Care Center, Erlanger Kentucky.
• When Do We Host Church Services?
We host church services at Villa Spring Health Care Center the third Saturday of each month.
• What Happens at These Meetings?
There is no official format, but each service usually includes a time of singing and a brief devotional.
• How Can I Be Involved?
No experience necessary. Maybe the Lord has called you to sing, preach, teach, or simply offer a warm smile, a gentle handshake, or a sincere prayer. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in this ministry!
1. Worship through music and song
Many of the senior generation love the old hymns and they know the words by heart. A wonderful way we connect with them is through playing and singing their favorite hymns and special songs we bring. Musical talent welcome.
2. Bible Teaching
Through topical Bible lessons teaching God's word, we help strengthen and encourage the residents of the nursing home.
3. Visitation and Prayer Time
After a time of connecting through music and God’s word, we have group prayer and pray individually with residents. It is a chance to hear what is on their hearts and to let them know how much they are loved.
