Romans 12:15 tells us to, "Rejoice with those who rejoice and to weep with those that weep."
One of the benefits of being connected to folks via social media is that you get to see what is going on in their lives day to day. Somethings you enjoy getting to know about folks... other things you wish you could un-see:)
Yesterday was one of those days where my news feed was an emotional wreck. Several of my friends have lost loved ones over the last few days. In most of these cases these were relatives who had been sick for a while, for others it was sudden and unexpected. Just below those posts in the feed were other friends who just got engaged and are about to start on a whole new journey in life...Others are having babies...Some are graduating college.
In my quiet time with the Lord I felt so conflicted with emotion. It's hard to watch people you love go through pain and at the same time it's exciting to see some of the new things God is doing in the lives of people. All I know is that in everything, God is good. He has always been good and He doesn't change.
No matter what circumstance you are facing, good, bad, or ugly... know that He is good and His love for you is beyond anything you can imagine.
This past week my wife, Kirsten, has had a song on her heart from John Mark and Sarah McMillan called, "King of My Heart." If you have a moment, check it out and I pray that encourages you in whatever season you may be in. Blessings- Kris
